Welcome to Maxwood® Furniture, proud manufacturers of Maxtrix® Kids Furniture

Our Story

Maxwood Furniture was founded in 2004, with a Simple Mission: To create quality children’s furniture we would have loved to have when we were kids.

Being parents ourselves, we understand well that kid’s needs and preferences change quickly. Many times we have purchased expensive toys or furniture for our children just to have to discard them a few months later. This simply did not make sense to us. We also saw that many kids’ rooms lacked the space, functionality and the inspiration to fully enjoy the most critical years of development. Dreaming, playing and exploring are not only part of the joys of being a child - they are important behaviors that help kids grow into creative, well balanced adults.

So based on our European design sensibilities, years of experience in the furniture industry and our conviction that a high quality and extra safe piece of furniture can, and should be reused, we created not just a new line of furniture, but a whole new concept to the children’s furniture market - A new brand called Maxtrix®!
We have added lots and lots of fun accessories, design options and practical add-on’s to help you create the perfect environment for your children. If it’s a super fun indoor playground, complete with a slide and castle tower, a sturdy bunk bed that withstands years of play, or a great study loft that helps your teen focus on their upcoming exams – all of these options can be created from the first Maxtrix® bed they started with. Great quality, re-usable, imaginative, and super-safe.
For our family, this was the solution we were looking for - We hope it fits perfectly for your family too!

Thank you for your interest in our company. We value your feedback, please contact us with further questions or comments.

Founded in 2006, our dedicated Factory in Vietnam makes all Maxtrix® products. The factory employs just under 200 people, and is located just outside Ho Chi Minh City.
All equipment, machinery and processes we use are geared towards the optimization of our furniture as well as making manufacturing processes efficient, resulting in industry leading waste material reduction.
We built our designs with safety as our number one priority – so much so, that we often not only meet minimum safety standards, but our products actually beat them.
As we now ship our products beyond US borders, we are proud to say that our beds also conform to stringent European safety testing.
Our hardwoods are sustainably sourced, the lacquers are certified safe for children, and our fabrics are made out of 100% cotton.

    Birch

    aspen-wood-kids-furniture-2

    Aspen

  • MAXTRIX® products are mainly made from premium grade, sustainably harvested solid hardwoods like Maple, Birch and Aspen.
  • We use "Select grade" wood, which is a premier classification of beautifully clean and clear wood. We offset the high premium of this material by achieving an extremely low level of waste material in our factory.
  • We do not accept knots in the hardwoods we use is our bedframes or visible surfaces of our case goods (dressers, bookcases and desks). Maxtrix® is made to last!
Their Materials
  • Cheap Pine/Rubber Wood

    Pine Wood

    kids-furniture-rubber-wood

    Rubber Wood

  • Many Children’s products are made from cheap, low grade Pine or Rubberwood
  • Low grade woods are known to yellow, crack and warp over time, causing paints and finishes to crack and peel.
  • Many Children’s manufacturers accept knotty woods. Besides being unsightly, Knots weaken the structure of the wood, causing it to crack and break easily. This is a safety concern, especially for bunks and lofts.

Any modifications made to the product by the purchaser will void the warranty.
In order to utilize this warranty, the consumer is to report any damage or defect to the dealer (if purchased from an authorized dealer). If the product was purchased directly from Maxwood Furniture, Inc., the consumer is to report the claim to customercare@maxwoodfurniture.com. The customer is to provide the original sales purchase receipt, description of the reported issue and pictures documenting the said damage or defect to the product. Maxwood Furniture, Inc. will work directly with the authorized dealer to resolve all problems that are reported by the original purchaser unless the purchase was made directly from Maxwood Furniture, Inc. and this matter will be resolved with a Maxwood Furniture, Inc. associate through email correspondence.

At Maxwood Furniture, Inc. we stand behind the quality of our furniture and offer a five year (5) warranty on our products. Our warranty covers all main bed components which are utilized to create our innovating bed systems.

Case good Warranty
Case goods are covered under a one (1) year warranty. Case goods are defined as being bookcases, dressers, desks, hutches and bedside storage items. The one year warranty for Maxwood Furniture, Inc. case goods applies under the same standards as the five year warranty, with the sole difference being the longevity of the warranty.

Fabric Warranty

Mattress Warranty
We do provide a warranty on our mattresses, but this warranty operates in a manner slightly different than that which is utilized for other Maxwood Furniture, Inc. products. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. We purchased our bed three years ago and just found there to be a crack in the wood on one of the bed components. Does the five year warranty cover this damage?
A. Yes! In order to process your damage claim we ask that you please send us a picture of the damaged item along with detailed information documenting the reported issue. In addition, please provide us with a copy of the original sales receipt. At the discretion of Maxwood Furniture, the damaged product will be repaired or replaced at no cost to you.

Q. We purchased a Natural finish basic bed two years ago and have recently purchased add on leg extensions and rails. When we received the bed parts, we noticed the color was not the same shade of Natural color as our current bed. Does the warranty cover this?
A. No. Please remember that when purchasing fine wood furniture, no two pieces of wood are identical. There may be variations in grain character and also color shade. We generally use Maple or White Birch in our Natural finish, and these materials have been specifically selected because of their durability but also ability to keep the shade of color. That being said – wood is a natural material and will be affected by air, light, moisture and temperature variations.

Q. You state on your website that you do not accept knots in your hardwoods – does that mean there is no wood with knots anywhere in your products?
A. We do not accept knots in the hardwoods we use in our bedframes or visible surfaces of our case goods (dressers, bookcases and desks). Maxtrix® is made to last! To stay price competitive, some of the wood you do not see on a daily basis – like at the bottom of our dressers or desks and on the slats may in some instances have some knots in it, but this will not impact the performance of the product. All of our products fall under our 5 year warranty, and our customer service team can help to address any issues that may arise.

Q. I purchased a mattress cover for my daughter’s bedroom and after extended use the fabric appears lighter than when we first purchased the item. Is this covered under the warranty?
A. No. There is no warranty that covers the fabrics that we sell. These fabrics include mattress covers, pillow covers, curtains, and tents. Fabrics may vary slightly from one dye lot to the next. It is virtually impossible to exactly match fabrics ordered at different times, particularly if the first lot is exposed to air, light and temperature variations.

Q. Six months ago my wife and I bought a magazine rack to complete our son’s existing Maxtrix® bed system. We have begun to notice that there is a defective area on the item that we have not caused. This product has been used in accordance with your guidelines and was not mishandled. Is there a warranty for this item?
A. Yes, all of our case goods have a one year warranty in which we will repair or replace the damaged or defective item. Please provide a picture of the damaged item, a detailed report of the damage and a copy of the original sales receipt so that we may resolve this matter for you.

Q. Five years ago we purchased a MaxMemory Mattress from your company. We have begun to notice a dip in the mattress and wish to contact you to see if there is a warranty on this item. Can you help?
A. Yes! We do have a ten year prorated warranty on our mattresses. Since you have had the mattress five years, half of the life of the warranty, there will still be five years of return for the mattress. The warranty will cover the cost of 5 years use/10 year warranty = 50% of the value of the original mattress.

WOOD FURNITURE CARE
Wood furniture is finished with a fine lacquer top coat which adds to its beauty and helps preserve the chosen color. No wood or wood finish is indestructible and you must provide regular care and maintenance.
• Clean up spills immediately, as all liquids will damage lacquer finishes.
• Never use cleaners that contain ammonia, abrasives, silicones or acetone, as these chemicals will damage lacquer finishes.
• Avoid placing rubber or plastic on wood furniture, as their ingredients can react with lacquer finishes.
• Rubber feet found on the bottoms of radios, clocks, pencil sharpeners, staplers, lamps, etc. should be changed to felt.
• Avoid direct sunlight, as sunlight causes fading.
• Do not write, drag, drop or place heavy items directly on surface, as all woods can be damaged.
• Periodically check and retighten any hardware as necessary. Do not over-tighten.

WOOD IS UNIQUE - EXPECT VARIATIONS IN GRAIN, COLOR, FIT & FINISHING.
Wood is porous and will expand and contract due to humidity changes in the home. Changes in temperature or humidity can cause joints to open & close and/or wood to warp and crack. Extreme changes may also cause moisture to become trapped under the finish and cause cracking & peeling. As wood expands and contracts it may cause cracking in the joints of painted furniture which is considered normal and unavoidable. Standard painters caulk is easy to use and works well as a concealer.

The color and finish you see online may not match the actual finish you receive for many reasons including your computer monitor, seasonality, graining and texture. Please ask us or visit our store for a color sample prior to ordering.
