What is a starter bed?
A starter bed is a basic, single-level kids bed, the entry point into the Maxtrix system. It's meant to be the first bed a child moves into from a crib or toddler bed, with room to evolve into a loft bed, bunk bed, or daybed down the road.
What age is a starter bed meant for?
Starter beds work well from toddler transition age (around 2-3 years old with a Toddler Bed) right through the teen years with Full and Queen sizing. The line covers Toddler Beds, Daybeds, and Twin through Queen starter beds. They're also Greenguard Gold Certified for healthier indoor air.
Can a starter bed be converted into a bunk bed or loft bed later?
Yes, that's the core idea behind the Maxtrix system. Because starter beds share the same modular components as our bunk and loft beds, you can add height, storage, a desk, or a second bed later instead of buying entirely new furniture.
What sizes and finishes are available?
Starter beds come in Twin, Twin XL, Full, and Queen, in finishes like white, natural, and chestnut. Panel, slat, and curved headboard and footboard styles are available depending on the model.
