Bed size is everything when it comes to maximizing room space and suiting older kids, tween and teenage functional needs. This is why the Enormous XL is sitting center stage with many looking for the right bed design that allows for MORE sleeping quarters, MORE storage and MORE study all in one setup. High Lofts Provide Living Quarters Underneath
Bed height is important because it determines how much living space is available underneath. As a high loft, the Enormous has over four feet of under-bed clearance - 52.5" to be exact. This gives parents the opportunity to explore many different options for utilizing the square footage underneath.
We're showing bookcases and desks for the ultimate study space, however, other options include dressers, toy storage, long desks and bookshelves.
Full XL Bed Size Gives More Sleeping Space
Most often when searching for loft beds, you'll find standard Twin or Full sizes available. We have those also! But, what makes Maxtrix unique is that we also offer XL lengths. The Enormous XL is a FULL XL bed size, which means this bed is wider and longer than standard Twin beds to accommodate growing young adults. Get a standard Full width (46.5”) with an additional 4 inches of length (84”). Your kids - no matter how old they are - will appreciate the extra sleeping quarters and hangout space as we all like to stretch out. (The Enormous is also available in Standard Full size.)
Staircase Steps Provide Extra Storage Opportunity
Opting for a staircase entry means you are gaining a few benefits from your furniture investment. We all know feet get bigger with age :), so give them extra room with wider steps to climb provided with stairs. (Read more about Stairs vs. Ladders)
Get them more involved with chores by making their beds daily. Stairs really help making this process better with extra room to stand while tucking under corners.
Plus, did we mention that each step is a storage drawer? There are four steps on the Enormous XL, so that's like having another 4-drawer dresser within your bed design.

Safety is a priority, and we know many want to double check a larger bed like the Enormous that sits high off the ground is safe. We get it! We're parents, too. Our unique leg extension system securely lifts our beds off the ground. Plus, we've added cross beams for extra stability prevent wiggling.
Maxtrix beds are strong as they are tested to withstand 2,000 lbs (5x the industry standard). Plus, patented rock lock systems keep the bed in place, so the bed legs have solid connections. Even the tall 16" guardrails ensure kids - whether young or old - sleep safely.
Convert Your Full Loft into a New Design
The Enormous XL is a full bed that will see your son or daughter all the way to college. But, since all of Maxtrix beds are modular, it can also convert to a completely different style when the time comes... add a second bed underneath and make it bunk beds or add another elevated bed with an "L" setup as a corner loft bed.
