What is a storage and study loft bed?
It's an elevated bed with a desk, dresser, bookcase, or combination of the three built into the space underneath. Instead of buying a bed and a desk separately, the loft bed does both jobs in the same footprint. Learn more about our favorite study styles.
Can I add a desk to any Maxtrix loft bed, or only certain models?
Because Maxtrix beds are modular, you can add a desk, dresser, or bookcase to low, mid, or high loft beds. The Storage & Desk Measurement Guide shows which combinations fit each bed height so the proportions work in your specific room.
Are storage loft beds sturdy enough for teens or adults?
Yes. Twin and Full sizes are tested to hold up to 800 lbs, and Twin XL and Queen sizes are tested to hold up to 2,000 lbs, so these hold up well beyond childhood into the teen and college years.
Can I separate the desk or dresser from the loft bed later?
