Elementary & Middle School Furniture FAQs
A+ designs for kids in first through eighth grade. Start and end the day with functional furniture for balanced living.
What furniture works best for elementary and middle schoolers?
This is usually when a dedicated desk starts to matter, alongside more storage for books, supplies, and hobbies. A loft bed with a built-in desk is a popular choice here since it adds a real workspace without giving up floor space.
Is Full size the right choice for this age group?
Full size is a common sweet spot for grades 1 through 8. It's larger than Twin so it has more room to grow into, but it's not quite as large (or as expensive) as a Queen, which tends to make more sense once kids reach high school.
Can my child help design their own bunk bed or loft bed?
Yes. Our design team can walk through component options with you, and our online design form is a good starting point for building something custom to your middle schooler's room and taste.
What storage options are recommended for this age?
Dressers in 3, 4, 5, and 6-drawer configurations and bookcases in various widths and heights are both part of this collection, sized to handle the increase in books, clothes, and hobby supplies that tends to show up in these grades.
