The kids are very comfortable on their mattresses. Also our adult guests have used them as well as myself and my husband and we all find them to be extremely comfortable. Unlike spring mattresses, you can lay with your child while they fall asleep and sneak off the bed without bouncing them and waking them up! Bonus!
Good mattress
Our primary focus was safety for a loft bed, so I needed to find a mattress I thought would be comfortable but not too thick. (Maxtrix makes the beds safer by having the side panels the highest you will find, but you don't want to sacrifice any of the safe space with mattress height.) I felt that the price was high for a twin, but the mattress is pretty comfortable for being thin. It is on the soft side, but definitely not spongy. I was willing to pay for the combination of safety, quality, and comfort. For a regular height bed, I would have gotten a thicker mattress.

We purchased the matteess with the bunk bed. Fits perfectly and is just the right height. I was concerned about how thin the mattress was at first but it's very comfortable. You simply place it on the wooden support bars. Don�t need anything else.
